Cooking spaghetti perfectly requires expert technique and special care. If you don’t pay attention to every little trick, you might end up making sticky noodles and lose the flavor and appeal. To give you a professional recipe for boiling spaghetti, we have prepared a list of easy steps that will help you get fabulous results on your first try.  But before we get to that, let’s know a little more about the Spaghetti pasta.

Pasta comes in varied forms and is made with different flours and ingredients in every region around the globe. Spaghetti is one of the forms of pasta that comes in thin, cylindrical-shaped strands. It is regarded as an Italian staple now but some people also have this notion that it originated from China. The Italian spaghetti is generally made with durum wheat whereas it’s also made with rice flour, semolina, and other flours in distinct places around the world.

No matter what shape and size it comes in. Boiling it to perfection always comes with complexities. But fret not and read on to know the simplest way of boiling spaghetti.

Ingredients you need:

      A Big Pot

      Spaghetti

      Salt to taste

      Water

      Tongs

Steps to boil spaghetti effortlessly

Step 1

Take a large pot for boiling the spaghetti and put a sufficient amount of water into it so that the noodles don’t get sticky and have enough room to boil and separate.

Step 2

Add salt once the water starts boiling.

Step 3

After adding salt, put the spaghetti into the pot and give it a stir to make sure that the noodle strands aren’t sticky.

Pro Tip: Make sure you keep stirring the pasta while boiling it. The noodles release starch that makes it sticky but if you keep stirring it while it boils, each strand of the spaghetti will separate and remain non-sticky.

Step 4

You can look for cooking instructions on the noodles package and follow the same to boil it for a couple of minutes until the noodles get cooked.

Step 5

Take a strand or two of the noodles to taste and check if it’s cooked enough to be chewed. You can give it another minute on the heat if it is not and then drain it to prepare.

Note - Do not rinse the water from the pot. Instead, use it immediately if you are cooking saucy spaghetti. The starchy water will help the sauce get thickened and stick to the noodles.
